5 of 5 Excellent flavor November 10, 2018

I over did the coffee prior to kegging.  After chilling, force carbonating and tasting I then boiled 3 cups water with 2oz priming sugar and 1/2lb lactose, cooled and added to keg to take the edge off.  That was my fault, not the recipe.  The end result is incredible!

5 of 5 Sweet & Dark August 27, 2017

Great flavor! The chocolate flavor is well balanced between the sweetness of the lactose and the malt flavor. Think of this as a great "dessert beer".

4 of 5 Great flavor, but it doesn't age well January 8, 2015
Reviewer: Eric from Pittsford, NY United States
This was a very easy drinking dark beer with great flavor.  I saved a dozen bottles for three months and would have given this five stars if not for that.  After aging the chocolate flavor, which had been great, had an bit of an artificial/chemical note that was very disappointing.  It was much better in the 2-6 week range when we drank most of it.
