Decent, but there's better options |

I made a english mild with this. About 1.038 starting. Finished at about 1.014. 61% ADF. This was with 5% simple sugar and a 150F mash temp. So it really does leave quite a bit of sweetness in the beer. Take that into account in recipe design and use this to your advantage.
Further, it's incredibly fast. My beer was done, totally done fermenting, in 3 days. I cold crashed it on day 4 and added gelating. I kegged it and forced carbed to drink on day 10. The flavors were better by day 14, however.
You get a little woodsy, mineraly aroma from the beer along with a generic "english" ester.
It's not an outstanding yeast, it's not a terrible yeast. I think there are some other dry yeast options I would explore before using this again. The Mangrove Jack M03 yeast, Ritebrew item 830103, before trying Windsor again.
