I have been making my standard malty pale ale recipe, trying different hop varieties in the late additions and dry hopping phases. For this one, I went with 1 oz. of Cascade, then 1 oz. of Superdelic at 5 minutes, whirlpool, and dry hopping at 1 and 3 days (four ounces total).
The beer is good, but the flavors of the Superdelic are not terribly distinctive. There is a little of the tropical fruit and citrus, but the "candy/lolly" flavor seems to be the most prominent among the different flavor profiles I can detect. There is also a noticeable "dank" flavor as well.
Overall, it's not a bad hop variety, just nothing to write home about. I think one would have to use a lot of it to make the flavor stand out.
