When I opened the package of yeast it smelled like a mix of tropical fruit, not yeast. That aroma carried through in the final beer. I made a Zombie Dust clone with this and it is outstanding. This yeast combined with a boatload of Citra hops is heavenly.
Just so you're aware the advertised attenuation range is no joke. My final attenuation was 90% when fermented at 80F. This also meant a fast ferment. However, patience is still needed as this yeast takes a long time to drop out of solution. I cold crashed at 35F for over a week and it was still pretty hazy at packaging. Now that it's been on tap for a week it's a little more bright in the glass. If you like juicy IPA/Pale Ale's you need to give this yeast a try. Don't be shy on loading up on new variety hops. This yeast will only add to the finished product. Omega Yeast has a loyal customer now.
